Our Bed & Breakfast, your personal retreat

Plan a relaxing retreat at the Habberstad House Bed & Breakfast, located in Lanesboro, in Southeastern Minnesota’s historic Bluff Country along the Root River.

Built in 1897, this beautiful Queen Anne Victorian home features welcoming parlors, a dining room with a view of the gardens, and five guest rooms, all with private bathrooms. Or choose our private Carriage House, with its king bed, fireplace and spa bathroom. The beautiful landscaped yard includes a fountain and pond, flower gardens and numerous seating areas.

Come and see some of the changes we’ve made in the past year. Our beds are now adorned with luxurious microfiber sheets from Comphy.  Our Amish Suite now has two king-sized beds with beautiful new linens and Ekornes leather furniture in the sitting area. And we’ve added a loveseat, perfect for snuggling, in the Rose Suite

In 2019, we finished our first big renovation…updating the Carriage House and Amish Suite with new bathrooms.  Check out our photos under our Guest Rooms and in our photo gallery to see some of our updates.

Please call to see if we can accommodate your special occasion whether you have a birthday or anniversary, a reunion with friends or are planning your honeymoon. And as a reminder, we are licensed by the State of Minnesota and the City of Lanesboro and are members of the Minnesota Bed and Breakfast Association and the Professional Association of Innkeepers International as well as Inns of Choice.

INNS OF CHOICE is a curated group of select Midwest Inns dedicated to service and memorable guest experiences. Each property is unique with distinctive architectural features, contemporary furnishings, spa like bathrooms, and exceptional breakfast offerings to please the palate. Ask us about INNS OF CHOICE.

We will kick off our 2020 season in March this year. Here’s to an early spring so we can hit the bike trails soon and say goodbye to the winter snow.

Come see us. We love to have you here.
