We are excited to invite everyone to the 2023 Hunter Bergo Heart of Gold Memorial 3D Archery Shoot!

Please come join us to help honor our beautiful boy in a way that represents Hunter's heart by enjoying the beauty of nature, shooting bow, spending quality time together, and spreading kindness. While we were blessed enough to have Hunter here with us for 10 years 3 months and 26 days, Hunter showed us what truly matters in this life. We are here to connect and be there for one another, especially in times of need. Our event is one small way we can all live by the example of our sweet boy. Please come join us for a beautiful and healing day.

* All proceeds will be donated to Emily Charlebois and Sam Keasling and their families, as well as to the Hunter Bergo Heart of Gold Foundation Humble and Kind Lanesboro Senior Scholarship.

Over the last three decades, hundreds of artists have shown their work in solo and group shows in the Exhibition Gallery or sold their pieces in the Sales Gallery.

Rhubarb Festival

The Minnesota State Legislature recognized Lanesboro as the Rhubarb Capital of Minnesota by proclamation in 2008.

The heart of the festival takes place in Sylvan Park in downtown Lanesboro. Start by browsing the Lanesboro Farmers Market where you'll find all the in-season spring vegetables and other local delights. Then enjoy the fun-filled festival entertainment and food, plus try your hand at the free rhubarb games and contests. Great prizes for all events! Stay in town and check out our local merchants, and all the town has to offer.

Other free entertainment includes a rhubarb fashion show (you can be in it),goat chill out , and Rhub-Art opportunities. Music fills the park the entire day so bring your lawn chair and enjoy it all! This year music is provided by a variety of local rhubarb-lovin' musicians.

Vendors provide opportunities to purchase additional rhubarb treats and products.

Join a two-session poetry workshop with Lanesboro Artist-in-Residence Su Hwang on Monday, April 20th from 6-7 p.m. at the St. Mane Theatre.

In this workshop, Su will continue to help others explore the foundations of poetry as well as its process of writing. The group of participants will look at narrative versus lyric poetry to better understand the differences between poetry. Different poetry forms, voice, and style will also be discussed by Su in this workshop in order to help develop individuality of writers; this two-session workshop will wrap up with time for writing prompts, as well.

Finding Poetry Everywhere with Su Hwang @ St Mane Theatre

Join Lanesboro Artist-in-Residence, writer Su Hwang, for a workshop on finding poetry regardless of one’s surroundings on Thursday, April 13th from 5 – 6 p.m. at the St. Mane Theatre.

In this workshop, Su will share tips and tools from her process of finding poetry everywhere. Participants in the group will play some ice breaker games and then work on some poetry prompts that anyone can do. Examples of these techniques that Su herself is well-versed in include erasure poetry, centos, and a take-home haiku collage project.

Lanesboro Arts is thrilled to present “Origin”, a short film by Catherine Glynn and Liz Bucheit exploring family history, cultural identity, Norwegian mythology, and the price one pays to outrun misfortune. “Origin” will premiere on Friday, March 31 at 7 p.m. at the St. Mane Theatre in downtown Lanesboro. It runs 25 minutes. The showing will be immediately followed by a talkback session with the film’s creators, performing artist Catherine Glynn and artisan goldsmith Liz Bucheit.

Lanesboro’s Sons of Norway Heimbygda Lodge invites you to their first annual Burmeister Memorial Game-A-Thon on Sat., March 11, 2023.  This event, free and open to the public, is to honor and remember our former members, Keith and Bea Burmeister.  Come be a part of Cabin Fever Fest in Lanesboro!

Come to the lodge anytime between 12-7pm to play with our provided games (cards, various board games) or bring your own.  There may be some members ready to teach you how to play whist!

We will play bingo at a time TBD.  Coffee, lemonade & water are provided – just bring your own snacks.
